A study of 6 small battles in the Carolina backcountry in 1780-81 that have been largely overlooked by modern historians of the American Revolution.  Without Patriot victories at these six battles, the outcome of the American Revolution may well have ended in British/Loyalist victories.  Arguably, major battles such as King’s Mountain, Cowpens, the Race for the Dan, Guilford Court House, and Yorktown might never have occurred.

The outcome of the American Revolution had its birth in the Carolina Backcountry.
