Join a Park Ranger and hike our Chestnut Oak Nature Trail. While on this trail, we will: talk about what makes this area an important part of our park, identify various plant and animal species, and enjoy a quiet hike through the woods. This is a relatively simple 0.8 mile hike that does have rocks, boardwalks, and potentially muddy areas. Be sure to bring water, good shoes for hiking, and weather-appropriate clothing. Registration is required, please email Ranger Jackson at jackson.perry@ncparks.go
