Try your hand at artifact conservation! Help our archaeologists discover new finds by carefully excavating concretions to discover hidden artifacts. Kids will use a toothpick to carefully excavate chocolate chips and candy pieces from a cookie, giving them a “taste” of one step of maritime artifact conservation. The best part: you can eat your finds! For children ages 4 and up.

Come by anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. to try cookie archaeology! This program is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Reservations are not required. Call 252-986-0720 for more information.
