North Carolina was home to several anti-aircraft artillery training centers during World War II. Join a costumed interpreter at the North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport, 204 E. Moore St. in downtown Southport, to learn about the role these sites played in the evolution of aerial combat. This program is part of the museum’s Deep Dive into History series. The free drop-in program is designed to give visitors a deeper understanding of our shared past through costumed interpretation and hands-on activities.
