DESCRIPTION:NC State Parks is offering a free combination canoe paddle and 
 cleanup at the Lower Haw River State Natural Area on Earth Day. Paddle the
  Haw in a tandem canoe while cleaning up trash in the river along the way.
  After a short introduction\, the paddle trip will launch at Bynum Mill Ac
 cess and take out about 3.4 miles downstream at the US 64 Haw River Canoe 
 Access\, with a shuttle ride back to Bynum Mill Access. Bring your own sna
 cks/lunch and drinking water for a short lunch stop along the river. NC St
 ate Parks will provide the canoes\, life jackets\, and shuttle ride.  Esti
 mated total time for event including introduction\, lunch stop\, paddling\
 , and shuttle ride back is approximately 4 hours total. Guide is Sean Higg
