Walk around Boone Fork Parking Area and the Blue Ridge Parkway to see some fall foliage and learn why the leaves change color in the fall, what affects the peak fall color timing, and which color specific species like to turn. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. While we won't be hiking further than 1 mile,  please wear close-toed shoes or hiking boots and bring water.
