Join park staff for a guided Flytrap Hike and discover the incredible diversity of life found at Carolina Beach State Park. This easy, family-friendly program follows a flat, 0.5-mile loop trail, making it perfect for participants of all ages. Along the way, we’ll explore several distinct ecosystems and learn about the unique plants and animals that call the park home, including the Venus flytrap. Participants will learn more about carnivorous plants, including how and why they eat insects. Be sure to wear sturdy walking shoes and sun protection to stay comfortable on the trail. Water, sunscreen, and bug spray are also recommended. Meet in the Flytrap Trail parking area.
