Have fun wile learning about water literacy with this engaging and informative Project WET Foundations workshop! Participants will receive a Foundations of Water Literacy guide with activities and resources to support water literacy in the classroom. Ideal for K-8 educators. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I or II in the NCEE certification Program.
The Foundations of Water Education Guide from Project WET features 12 of its most popular, hands-on activities designed to build water literacy in students. Covering key topics like watersheds, groundwater, ecology, and water resource management, these engaging lessons align with the Principles of Water Literacy to deepen understanding of our most vital resource. Each activity includes step-by-step instructions, academic correlations, and interactive learning experiences that foster critical thinking and problem-solving. This essential guide lays the groundwork for water education, with more resources coming soon to expand on Project WET’s comprehensive curriculum.
