Join a Ranger at the Lake Shore Trailhead for a fun and engaging outdoor learning experience for all ages. Participants will explore and identify various mushrooms found within Lake Norman State Park and learn about their ecological importance. Plan to hike approximately 1.5 miles on varying elevation for the duration of the program.

**Please wear sturdy shoes that can get muddy and bring water. Consider bringing sunscreen, a hat, snacks, and a rain jacket (depending on weather). Restrooms and water are available further down Shortleaf Dr., closer to the picnic shelters. Note that Lake Shore Trail is a primitive, dirt trails that cannot accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.
