Attention all hikers/birders! Come out and help count migrating hawks at Hanging Rock State Park!

Participants will meet in front of the Visitor Center at 8:30 am for introductions. Afterward, we will carpool to the campground to access the Moore’s Wall Loop Trail leading to the fire tower.

The hike to the tower is a total of 2 miles round trip and is strenuous, so please bring food and water. Join us to learn how to identify raptors in flight and help monitor the annual hawk migration. All data collected will be submitted to the Hawk Migration Association of North America’s raptor migration database.
