The Elk Knob Community Heritage Organization (EKCHO) announces that the 19th annual Headwaters Community Day Festival will return to Elk Knob State Park on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 from 11am to 3pm. 
The Headwaters Community Day Festival is a gathering to celebrate the area’s unique culture and foodways. The activities start at 11 am and include live music, local crafters, farmers, and other artisans demonstrating their work. At noon, the High Country’s largest potluck dinner will be served, featuring dozens of local dishes. The public is encouraged to bring their own dish to share.
