A Native of Rich Square, NC, Frank Womble is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, last stationed at Fort Monroe. He now serves on the Board of Directors for the American Friends of Lafayette. He was also Co-chair with Mrs. Womble of Suffolk events celebrating the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s visit to Suffolk. Mr. and Mrs. Womble were part of the reception given to Lafayette when he arrived at New York and the send-off when he departed Washington, D.C.
