This will be a self-guided hike that you can complete anytime throughout the day of 8/15/26.

Come celebrate the 17th anniversary and eighth National TRACK Trails Day at Lake James State Park! National TRACK Trails Day is an annual holiday celebrating the Kids in Parks’ national network of family-friendly TRACK Trails and our dedication to getting children and families outside. 

Our TRACK Trail is located on the Holly Discovery Trail as you enter Lake James State Park-Paddy's Creek Access. The parking lot, is the first parking lot on the left after you cross the entrance bridge on Lake James State Park Road. After you park, walk over to the TRACK Trails Kiosk to grab an activity brochure to complete as you hike the Holly Discovery Trail. Once you complete the hike and activity brochure, take the completed brochure to the visitor center to receive custom TRACK Trails Prizes. You will be able to claim your prize during the vistor center operating hours of 9am-5pm on a first come, first serve basis, with limited quanitites available.
