About this Event
257 Standard Street, Elkin, NC 28621
NC Trail Days returns to the towns of Elkin and Jonesville, North Carolina on the first weekend of June. This four day event celebrates the 'Great Trails State' along with the abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation in this part of the Blue Ridge foothills. The event features an array of guided hikes, several of which are along the NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail and the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, as well as multiple paddle trips on the Yadkin River. Many of the hikes are themed and focus on unique regional history such as the popular hidden moonshine stills hike, or the naturalist hiking series which offers glimpses of the area's ecology and milltown history. In addition to guided and self-guided hikes, the festival offers rock climbing at nearby Stone Mountain and Pilot Mountain State Parks, cycling, trail races, outdoor gear vendors, live music and more. Nearly all the events are free to attend but may require registration. These details will be released with the schedule in Spring of 2026. Check out www.nctraildays.com for more info until then, and we hope to see you there!
