On September 17, visit the Mountain Gateway Museum in Old Fort, N.C., to view the 1776 State Constitution, the 1868 State Constitution, and a letter from John Adams entitled "Thoughts on Government". This one-day-only event will also have archivists on-site to help answer questions. This is also hosted by the McDowell County Public Library.
