Join us for a powerful new exhibit celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. This immersive display explores how Revolutionary War veterans, including Transylvania's own Patriots such as Lambert Clayton, transitioned into pioneers in the former Cherokee lands that would one day become Transylvania County. The exhibit highlights land grants, frontier skills, and lasting legacies, all tying back to the fight for independence.

Complementing the exhibit is our Revolutionary Era Garden, established in 2025 with support from the Transylvania County 250th Committee and America 250 NC, where families can engage in hands-on activities while learning about Colonial life and our Founding Fathers.

The exhibit will open in April and run through mid-October. Free and open to all.
