Its that time of year again! Come celebrate the summer at Merchants Millpond State Park with our 4th year of the Summer Junior Adventure Series! In this series, we have a different topic that we teach about every Monday at 10 AM throughout the summer. 

This week we'll talk about the often overlooked macroinvertebrates we have here at the Millpond! These tiny critters are rarely given a second thought but they contribute to the ecosystem in a big way! Whether its forming the backbone of the food web, or being an indicator for certain things, these creatures are worth taking a look at, so come join us as we look more at our macroinvertebrates!  

This program will start promptly at 10 AM at the visitor center. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather as part of this program will be outside. This program will involve dip netting at the boat launch and particpates usually get a little wet in the process.
