About this Event
Join us for a webinar on June 2, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with North Carolina author and educator Carol Baldwin, who will discuss how to research and write historical fiction.
Carol will share insights from the research process while writing her young adult novel Half-Truths, a work of historical fiction set in 1950s North Carolina. In this webinar, participants will learn how to locate sources to research the past. Participants will also learn practical approaches to conducting historical research and gain insight into how historical inquiry supports narrative storytelling.
A live Q&A session will follow the presentation, and attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the author. Registration is required. This event will be recorded and made available to the public through the Library of NC YouTube channel. Register at slnc.info/baldwin226. This event is free and open to the public.
