Join this month’s Sandbar Lecture Series speaker Ann Bokelman as she presents George Washington during the Revolutionary. This lecture is part of a series of events to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

George Washington was an honorable, brave, and inspiring leader. Eight years of war tested him in many ways. The stories behind the betrayal by Benedict Arnold and the Battle for Yorktown are two examples Ann presented to show us what an amazing man he was.

Bokelman, a Sunset Beach resident since 2007, graduated from Ohio State University with both B.S.N. and M.S.N. degrees, earned her Ph.D. in Adult Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and has retired from a career in healthcare and nursing education.
