Join a Ranger to hike 3 miles round trip to the site of a cemetery of enslaved people. We will discuss laws and statistics related to the practice of slavery in NC. This hike does feature discussions about racial violence and content that is more suited to a mature audience. Please attend with a respectful attitude and be prepared for a significant creek crossing and some short sections of off-trail hiking.

All children must be accompanied by an adult; please be sure to wear hiking shoes and bring water. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring water!
